The Ferrari 458 Italia is a
mid-engined 2 wheel drive sports car manufactured by Ferrari. The 458 has been
produced since 2009, when it replaced the Ferrari F430. Ferrari revealed this
state of the art car at the Frankfurt Motor show with expectation of
astonishing the crowd by using new technology borrowed from their formula 1.
Even though the motor is only rear wheel drive, this car can soar at a top
speed of 202 mph and a acceleration from 0 to 60 in just under 3.4 seconds. At
$220,000 each, Ferrari has made just over 400 million from the 458. Due to the
surge of revenue created, Ferrari also made a 458 spider, which has the same
concept but a convertible aluminum top. Ferrari plans to make an astonishing
2,000 spiders with their one of a kind variant of 458.
